My favorite thing about like fandom spaces is really the freedom to do whatever you want. Like it’s free. I love hyper-specific au’s. I love crackfics. I love when the characters act ooc for comedy’s sake or when media that’s lighthearted have an edgy dark interpretation OR when it’s a dark scary series and they’re drawn or written about just hanging out. I love when people make ocs to ship with their favorite characters. I love people shipping characters who have never spoken to each other in canon, or characters from different series. I love when people draw grown stressed men as cute anime guys. I think this is what artistic freedoms all about really. I think it’s the most beautiful thing when artist or fanfic authors make something that is so unique to what they want regardless of audience size.
